a comprehensive course focusing on success strategies. Book discussions are designed to address ethnic specific issues that affect African American boys. The DYD Curriculum includes a journaling component and will also highlight Black History & Culture, Current Events, Black Masculinity and Conflict Resolution.

Dr. William Hobbs
Dr. William Hobbs is an associate professor of the Humanities at Virginia State University. The avid proponent for literacy and mentorship has participated in programs by Big Brothers & Big Sisters, AmeriCorps, Jack n Jill Inc., and National Kappa League.
